Optical Coherence Tomography Scan (OCT scan)

What does an OCT Scan do?

Optical Coherence Tomography Scan (OCT Scan) takes highly detailed 3D images of the layers of tissue below the surface of your retina, giving us a clearer picture of your eye health. The scan only takes a few seconds with no flashing lights or puffs of air, and your eyes will not be touched. Optometrists of Swisscoat Vision Center with OCT can provide comprehensive diagnoses and reveal conditions such as diabetic retinopathy, glaucoma, macula edema, and multiple sclerosis.

Following up with you

At Swisscoat Vision Center and Eye Care Clinic, your optometrist will discuss the results with you after the scan, and keep your scans and details on file to follow up with you for monitoring and referral for treatment.
